MATH: Today we learned a new math game called, "What's That Number?" The students practiced the three different number forms that we are using in unit 1:
Standard form: 452
Expanded form: 400 + 50 + 2
Word form: Four hundred fifty two
One partner (the teacher) put some base ten blocks on the desk. Then the second partner (the student) counted the blocks and wrote the number in these three different forms. They did a great job supporting each other and working together. We continued to practice this skill in our individual workbooks. See if your children can tell you about the three different forms of a number!
